Which Dog Breed Is Right For You?
/At Guardian Bears Kennel, our clients know we take great pride in our pups and want to match our Black Russian Terrier puppies with loving and caring families. We also want to know our BRTs will have the space and socialization they need to learn, grow and thrive. For a pet owner who doesn’t have the time or energy to keep up with a BRT, it may not be the best choice for a new family companion.
Choosing the right dog breed takes planning and discernment. It’s important to ask certain questions, such as, “How will the dog interact with my children?” or, “Can I handle a dog that makes some noise?” Other factors, such as how often you’ll be away from home, or how clean you like to keep your house are important when considering what breed of dog to choose.
Size is also important, and as BRTs can grow as large as 150 pounds, you may not want one in a one-bedroom apartment. BRTs are very adaptable but they need time with their humans, and to know they are loved and have a responsibility in the household.
Regular exercise is also important for Black Russian Terriers, so if you’re only going to be able to play with or walk your BRT once or twice a week, it may be better to consider other breeds. If you feel our dogs are the perfect fit for your family and lifestyle, please contact us today and we’ll go over our requirements. We’ve had families of all sizes from all across the country take our pups to new homes. We would love to meet and talk with you!
